Friends of the Library

Have you read a book or seen a movie that has left a definite impression on you? The library is looking for patrons who would be willing to write a review for our newsletters. If you are interested or have questions, please check with Nancy or Maggie.

Patrons now have the opportunity to receive notices, newsletters, and other information from the library via e-mail. The staff will be asking patrons if they would be agreeable to provide their e-mail address.

WMUR-TV’s meteorologist Josh Judge will present “Forecasting for Television,” on Wednesday, January 25, at 7:00 pm at the library.

Library Trustees will be meeting on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Library

A seven-week Beginners’ Hatha Yoga Class will be offered starting on Monday, January 9th at the library.

The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association will present a series of workshops for seniors beginning Monday, January 23, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at the Epsom Library. “Better Choices, Better Health” is for seniors who have a chronic cond

The Book Discussion Group will meet in February on the 15th when members will discuss In the Country of Men, by Hisham Matar.

Works of Fiction: Paintings by Marcia Santore will be on view at the Epsom Public Library from January 26 through March 12, 2012, during regular library hours. The public is invited to the opening reception from 3–5 p.m., on Sunday, January 29.

On Wednesday, February 8, at 7:00 pm, Denise Petrin will present “The Family Love Letter,” a document that will provide information for survivors during a time of grief and confusion.

Youth Activites

Toddler Time at the Epsom Public Library is held on Wednesday mornings at 10:00.

Story Time with Mrs. Benner is at 2:00 on Tuesdays and 3:30 on Thursdays.

Lego Club - Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

Services

The library offers passes to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, the SEE Science Center, and Shaker Village. The passes are donated to the library by the Friends of the Library.

Because of the influence of her grandmother, Jessica Towne is making a difference in the lives of senior citizens by bringing library materials to residents in the Epsom community..

Patrons of the Epsom Public Library may now access and download audio books and ebooks from the New Hampshire State Library.

EPSOM HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION -- The Association is housed in the Epsom Public Library Center and is open to the public on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
