Epsom Public Library Capital Campaign Committee Meeting Minutes 11/30/06
Present: Chris Porter, Margaret Porter, Peter Arvanitis, Bob Paine, Bobby Mongeon, Genella McDonald, Mark Goldstein, Val Long, Mary Frambach
1. Cleaning
1st or 2nd week of January 1/6 or 1/13. Val will send out a notice.
2. Dedication January 20th
Look back at original dedication
Have a ribbon strung across from wing to wing.
Could we have Clan Du perform?
Who will be installing the plants?
? Hazel Steele plaque (James & Hazel) (check with Mary)
Souvenir? - Commemorative bookmark for the dedication.
Need to work on the Dedication programs.
3. Move to the New Library
December 8th is the move.
Mark has a trailer that could be used.
Bob will call Starving Artist movers for boxes.
Bookcases in trailer will need to go.
4. Interior Update - Genella
Workroom - will not need a cabinet for wires - Also, Nancy will call MetroCast - need to have cable up and running.
Majority of furniture from Furniture Company in Vermont will be in by mid-December. Genella is looking for 4 leather chairs at Harris Furniture - will be on sale - (save$$) Regularly $1,029 - on sale for $799 - Total cost $3,766. Have gliders - can order (what’s on their floor won’t work) so we’d have to order.
Free furniture from TD BankNorth - Genella has identified what we can take:
- 7 small chairs
- 2 lamps
- 1 desk
- Etc.
- Val will ask George Foster to help get TD BankNorth.
- Free furniture at The Capital Center for The Arts - Genella will check it out.
- Stacks - hoping to get stack tops for low bookshelves in Children’s, Reference, and Young Adults room
- Price $1,500 - Dennison
- To do the A/V stacks it would be approximately $1,000.
5. Budget:
Nancy left us with an updated budget. We discussed the priority order for purchases. Money is still coming in, but not enough for any large purchases.

Fire Dept. inspection - ok. Will get signs for bathroom, baby changing station, etc.
8. Next Meeting
is on January 13th at 6:00 PM at Val’s house. It will be a Pot Luck.
