Epsom Public Library Trustees Meeting 4/9/07
I. Call to order
A. Secretary's Report
The Secretary's Report was approved.
B. Treasurer's Report
Nancy gave the Treasurer's Report. The Town should cut a check on a quarterly basis. Nancy will ask for a statement via email from the AG's Office to allow for a quarterly payment from the Town.
C. Correspondence
None
II. Old Business
A. Use of Library Annex
We will check with Bobby regarding the previous agreement with the Historical Association, which now has to be rescinded. Instead of a formal agreement, the Trustees will allow the Historical Association to use the Library Annex and in return they will give an annual donation to the Library.
B. Landscaping Plan
The landscaping plans are being developed by NHTI Landscape Design students. Nancy spoke with the class in March and we gave the professor materials to enable the students to develop plans. The professor also came out to the Library to take pictures. Some of the students have visited the Library since getting the assignment to have a better feel for the building and surrounding area.
C. Mailbox Acquisition and Installation
Bobby's Dad will take care of this.
D. Web Site Update and Photo Release Form
Val developed a photo release form for the Trustees to review. Joni mentioned that the Town Web Site group may have a form. We will check with them for an official Town form.
Nancy and Val will go over the Web site and get updates to Andrea Talbot. One of the things we need to do is a link to the State Library.
E. Reid Estate Document
Nancy will get the documents to Liz so that her firm can look into the status of the estate and where we stand.
F. Henry Stoneham
We were waiting until we knew whether Josiah would mow, and he will. Nancy will let Henry know.
III. New Business
A. Light for Flag Pole
Nothing done about this item.
B. Signs
Cheryl will call to have the sign moved from the old Library. We also need to have an Epsom Library sign at Route 4 and sign for hours. Will need to get a permit for the sign. Nancy will check on this.
C. Recognition for Benners
We decided that we would do a window plaque and dinner for four as an appreciation for all the Benner family has done.
D. Summer Programs for Children and Parent Programs
Cheryl emailed all teachers for their summer reading lists. Only a few have responded as yet.
E. Other
The Trustees need to choose a date to clean the old Library and a date for going through the old Trustee records at the new Library. We'll need volunteers to clean the old Library.
