Epsom Public Library Trustees' Meeting
September 10, 2007

Secretary’s report: computer problems, will be available next month
Treasurer’s report: accepted as read
Correspondence: Nancy will be attending the safety conference
Old Business
- Valerie has received the application and will apply to the N. H. Landscape Assn. in order to have free flowers/shrubs on the grounds.
- Valerie started a monthly calendar with important events from a Trustees’ point of view. Dates to remember this fall are a budget committee hearing on Nov. 29, 2007 at 7pm with the possibility of another hearing on Dec. 13. Also to be note is a hearing on Jan. 10, 2008 and the Feb. 2 deliberative session. Valerie will continue to update the calendar.
- Dianne Bird, a Library volunteer, will type the Trustees’ revision of the Epsom Town Employee Handbook.
- Cherylann updated us on the Rachel Reid estate bequest to the Library. A hearing on Sept. 24 will decide whether or not the trust can be broken; if broken the Library will receive $20,000.
- The website is currently being updated by Nancy and Valerie; revisions will be submitted to our webmaster for posting.
New Business
- Cherylann made a motion to remove $1500 from the expendiable trust in order to purchase education videos and classic books. Bobby seconded the motion and the motion passed.
- The next trustees’ meeting will also be the public hearing for the acceptance of donations at 6pm, October 8, 2007 at the Library.
