Different Roots, Common Dreams: New Hampshire’s Cultural Diversity

On Friday, May 19, at 7 p.m. photographer Becky Field will talk about her project, Different Roots, Common Dreams: New Hampshire’s Cultural Diversity.

For the past five years, Becky has been photographing the lives of immigrants and refugees in the Granite State.  During her talk, illustrated with many photographs, she will describe her experiences as a photographer with people from over 50 different countries of origin.

She will also talk briefly about the history of immigration in New Hampshire and the ways that people from other countries come here to find a new home.  Her project shows that, while we may have different backgrounds, we all have the same dreams for a safe home, support for our families and a strong future for our children.

There will be time for questions and answers after the talk.
